ECC Weeks 21-24 Saudi Arabia, India and St. Patrick's Day - A Recap of Our 2010-2011 School Year in Pictures

ASIA (Saudia Arabia & India) & St. Patrick's Day

WEEKS 21-22 - Saudia Arabia

For Saudi Arabia we made a lapbook page and a camel lapbook.

We also started a weaving project that I previously posted about.  (It's listed in May 2011 under 'Our Saudi Arabia weaving project is finally complete'.)

WEEKS 23-24 India

For India we completed an India lapbook page and a lapbook on tigers.

We also made a mountain project I previously blogged about.  (It's listed in April 2011 under 'ECC Weeks 25-26 - China And A few Past Projects From India & Kenya'.)  Here are a couple more pictures.

Our stone inlay boxes turned out to be stone inlay pancakes but the kids enjoyed them just the same.

The kids made pretty small volcanos but that's what they wanted.  I added red food coloring to the vinegar for effect.  It was quite messy but fun.  Beau added one of his little green men.  Too funny.

St. Patrick's Day 2011

We have this tradition Beau started a few years ago of watching the story of St. Patrick on our Veggie Tales DVD Sumo of the Opera.  To keep with tradition we watched it again.  ;)

I also made a cute cake.  I used white frosting mixed with green food coloring and black food coloring for the pot.  Then I covered it with Skittles in a 'rainbow of colors'.  I don't think the rainbow is in the right order and Skittles doesn't make a blue but it was fun all the same.

Well, I think that finally wraps up our school year.  I previously blogged about weeks 25 to 34 which included China, Japan, Russia, Australia and Antarctica.  To see the rest of our studies look for 'ECC Week ...' in the April and May 2011 archives.
